From Examination to Certificate
Logotherapy Training with Certificate
Your Steps to Therapeutic Recognition

Why a Logotherapy Training with Certificate?
The Logotherapy training not only provides you with valuable knowledge about the search for meaning and quality of life but also the opportunity to practice as a certified logotherapist. By taking the exam and obtaining a recognized certificate, you gain the therapeutic recognition that allows you to apply your skills in practice.

The exam at the end of each semester guides you step by step towards your goal
At the end of each semester, there will be a multiple-choice exam.
Participation in the Online Course:
You are eligible to take the exam if you have participated in at least 2 of the 4 webinars.
Participation in the In-Person Course (in german only):
The exam will take place at the Diocesan House in Bamberg. The exact date will be available later in your ‘Personal Area’.

This is how you successfully complete your training: The path to the certificate
We offer you 5 semesters of theory in logotherapy, guiding you through the complete works of Viktor E. Frankl. You can start the training at any semester.
- After your 4th theory semester, you can begin with the supervision. Here, theory is intertwined with topics from your professional or personal life.
- After the 4th theory semester, you can also attend the conversation skills seminar.
Once you have successfully completed 5 semesters of theory, 2 semesters of supervision, and 1 week of conversation skills, we will issue you a certificate.

Recognition of Logotherapy Training
We closely cooperate with the internationally renowned Viktor Frankl Institute (VFI) in Vienna. The qualification we offer is recognized by the VFI and thus represents a valuable credential. It is important to note that logotherapy is not recognized by health insurance companies or government agencies in Germany, unlike in Austria. However, this does not diminish the quality, effectiveness, and humanity of this form of therapy. To practice therapeutically in Germany, you need a healing license, which you can obtain through a state examination (e.g., as a doctor, psychologist, or alternative practitioner). Advisory work in the field of logotherapy is not state-regulated in Germany, providing you with flexibility in applying your knowledge. Additionally, logotherapy is promoted by various organizations and associations that recognize and appreciate the value of a solid foundation in logotherapeutic knowledge.

Legal Recognition
Our logotherapy training is a part-time program that you can complete alongside your job. Although our program provides comprehensive training in logotherapy, we do not have the authority to grant you the right to offer psychotherapy or counseling services. For that, you need to inquire with the relevant authorities in your country about the legal requirements and regulations for practicing as a therapist or counselor. Our course is based on the original curriculum by Dr. Elisabeth Lukas and guarantees a high-quality education in logotherapy. She is highly recognized in the world of logotherapy. However, admission to practice psychotherapy is subject to the legal provisions of the respective country.

Objective of the Logotherapy Training at our Academy
The main goal of the instruction at our Academy for Logotherapy is to train participants to become experts in the field of logotherapy. This knowledge is intended to be a valuable enrichment for professional life. Viktor E. Frankl, a renowned physician and psychiatrist, originally developed his concept for his colleagues to ensure that medical and psychological expertise does not overlook the essential dimension: the noetic, spiritual, and genuinely human dimension of therapeutic action. Our training is aimed not only at doctors and psychologists but also at all professionals who work with people in advisory, therapeutic, educational, leadership, or pastoral roles. This target group will benefit the most from our training program. By applying logotherapy, new perspectives can be opened up in various areas – whether it be “Meaning in Business,” “Meaning in School,” or other relevant fields. The training not only promotes the individual growth of participants but also contributes to improving their professional practice.
